  Owner operated, Giordano's Deli is located in a very small strip center on the edge of U.S. 1 and 21st Street, near downtown Vero Beach. Drive too fast toward the curve and you will miss this place entirely.  
  
  I've eaten here over a dozen times in the last year and have always enjoyed 5-star service.  While I've tried several different subs and hoagies, my favorite is the "Italian Special."   A sub roll stuffed with Provolone cheese, ham, capicola, pepperoni, Genoa salami, with lettuce and tomato, onion, hot peppers, seasoning, oil, and vinegar.  While I've had this sub both toasted and cold, my preference leans toward the cold.
  
  Seeking a vegetarian substitute?  The special today was a marinated portabella mushroom with fresh spinach, sundried tomatoes, fresh basil, and feta cheese. Served toasted, it's a great addition to the menu for those seeking a vegetarian option. I'm not a vegetarian, so I will stick with the "mainline" Italian sandwiches and meals. Interesting taste and nothing wrong with the sub - I'm just more of a meat and potatoes man.
  
  Eat in or take it to go. Gardens salads, lunch platters and even dessert.  Catering offered as well.  Cash, checks, and credit cards accepted.  A few tables inside - a few more outside.  A comfortable place to relax for a quick meal. Chow Cab for local delivery in the Vero Beach area.
  
  Giordano's is a clean establishment with friendly and polite staff.  Like I said earlier, it's owner operated, so you have that "Mom and Pop" type atmosphere.  They share a parking lot with a nail salon and Sushi place.  Just be careful how you exit as varying traffic patterns exist ride outside the deli.

  This has to be one of the worst pizzas I have ever had. We threw away 90%. I called to let them know and the person who answered the phone was really dismissive. Never again. Disgusting

  I recently moved back to the area and this was my first time back to Giordano's.  This was my go to spot when I lived here before and subs were as good as they get. There was a nice Hungarian couple running it at the time, and I never had anything short of exceptional.  I see they have new owners now, and something is different.  I can't put my finger on it, but my sandwich was not nearly as good.  Pretty standard. Not bad by any means, but not the standout's they were before.

  The bread was pretty tuff not the kind of bread I really enjoy. The previous owners use to make things a bit differently. For example, the garlic Italian sub use to be made with garlic infused oil. Now they use garlic powder from a shaker. The Italian is toasted, so This should be good right? Well, in this case they put the toppings on before toasting the bun. This way you get a soggy sub that hardly resembles bread anymore. The original owners use to cook their own bread and it was nice, soft, warm and tasty. I miss the old days.
  
  Service was really good and the staff was really nice. I was throw off becaue they just let you eat and drink before you pay. I kept thinking how is this going to work and kept reminding myself I still need to pay before leaving.

  Just had my third visit since the new guys took over. Three visits and three Home runs. The Italian special is exactly how I want it. The consistency is amazing. Can't wait for my next chance to visit.
